There are many great places to rest your head in Lennox & Addington. A few weeks ago Naturally L&A partnered with RTO9 South Eastern Ontario to photograph some interesting lodging options available to visitors that travel here for a wide variety of reasons.
We definitely have a unique mix of short-term accommodations… some well-established and others brand new, some refined and others rustic. Our photographer only had a few hours available to us so we couldn’t possibly visit all the hot spots. However, our whirlwind day that took us to 5 locations in Greater Napanee, Stone Mills and Loyalist Township, and we did our best to choose a variety of options.
The photos included here are definitely not the professional ones (they’re coming soon), but they will hopefully give you a sense of what each of these properties are all about.
The Lemon Tart
109 Thomas Street East, Napanee
We started our day by visiting a beautiful brick home built beside the stately Lennox & Addington Courthouse in Napanee. Previously a Bed & Breakfast, new owner Consuelo Charles has made some tasteful renovations and it is now open once again under the name ‘The Lemon Tart’. There are three beautifully decorated rooms available. It is within walking distance to Downtown Napanee.
The Red Brick Suites
194 East Street, Napanee
Another beautiful home, The Red Brick Suites has two separate spaces available, The Loft and The Garden Suite. Both are very modern spaces decorated by owners Wade Schell and Shawn Trimper. Finishing touches are being made to each space and will be available to guests very soon. Like the Lemon Tart, these suites are also very close to Napanee’s bustling downtown core.
The Cozy Cabin & The Sugar Shack
339 Frizzell Road, Tamworth
For a change of pace, we headed north toward Tamworth to visit two off-grid cabins. Owned by Denise & Gary Frizzell, both of these spaces are perfect for those of us looking to re-connect with nature. In addition to the Cozy Cabin pictured below, they also have the Sugar Shack, rustic by inviting spot not far from the Cozy Cabin. These sites are both popular for artists looking for inspiration and those wishing to visit the nearby Dark Sky Viewing Area.
Daisy Hill Bed & Breakfast
405 Mud Lake Road North, Odessa
Daisy Hill Bed & Breakfast is a wonderful property just north of Odessa. Owned by Deb Baldwin, this well-established B&B has become a very popular destination. Deb takes great pride in providing her guests with a memorable experience. She has three rooms to choose from, and an amazing back deck that overlooks the lake.
