Start your tour at L&A’s newest microbrewery, The Napanee Beer Company. Located at 450 Milligan Lane in Napanee, they’ve garnered a lot of attention in a short time, taking home accolades from the Ontario Brewing Awards, including the Newcomer of the Year award. Brews available include Mayday (Belgian Pale Ale), Blacklist (German Black Lager), Deadline (Premium Lager) and Extremist (Beligan IPA). The Napanee Beer Company also has special edition brews available monthly.

You can purchase at their production facility, at LCBO locations in the region, and their beers are on tap at many restaurants in Eastern Ontario.

The next tour stop is Bergeron Estate Winery & Cider Company, located at 9656 Loyalist Parkway, just east of Adolphustown. Opening in 2007, it has the distinction of being the first winery in Lennox & Addington. It produces Gamay Noir, Pinot Noir, Vidal, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and a Rosé from wines that are made exclusively from grapes grown on their 10-acre vineyard. Bergeron also produces Cole Point Cider, a delicious beverage made from apples from a local orchard.

They also offer ‘Nona’s Pizzeria’ that uses authentic Italian recipes (Bergeron’s mother-in-law is from Italy) along with crust made from scratch and topped with local ingredients.

33 Vines

Next, head just up the road to 33 Vines. Located at 9261 Loyalist Parkway near Conway, their unique tasting room is housed inside a refurbished CN Railway Caboose. It’s easy to relax on their patio that overlooks the 10 acre vineyard and Lake Ontario.

In addition to the vineyard and caboose, an old post and beam barn has been renovated into a modern production facility that houses the entire process of transforming grapes into wine, from crushing to storage. Thirty Three Vines produces Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir and Merlot.
