Fishing
Love fishing? You’ve come to the right place!
Walleye, Large and Smallmouth Bass, Northern pike and Musky are just some of the fish that can be caught here. And, after you’ve put your tackle box away, enjoy a meal, visit a brewery, or check out some live local music. Check out what’s happening during your next visit. Extending your stay is not a problem as many of our local lodging providers cater to the fishing community.

- Lake Trout, Largemouth & Smallmouth Bass, Yellow Perch, Northern Pike, Walleye, Salmon, Pumpkinseed and Bluegill are just a few of the fish caught in the area

One of L&A's local fishing champions
Lennox & Addington County native Ashley Rae has made quite a name for herself in Canada’s fishing community. This skilled angler has plied her craft from coast to coast and beyond, but still frequents her home community where her passion for fishing was born.
Ashley has blogged about a few of her favourite bodies of water in Lennox & Addington County. Follow her adventures as she documents her most memorable experiences on the water throughout the region.
Mazinaw Lake is north of Kaladar in Addington Highlands. The narrows divide the lake into upper and lower sections. It’s the 7th deepest lake in the world, reaching 476 feet deep!
Summer is flying by in the blink of an eye but I’m grateful to have some fun memories to look back on while exploring Lennox & Addington County over the past few weeks.
This summer Ashley has been exploring the waters of Lennox & Addington County and sharing her fishing adventures along the way. So far she has covered multi-species fishing on the Napanee River and bass opener on Skootamatta Lake.
It’s finally here! Bass opener has arrived here in southeastern Ontario, and it is one of my most anticipated fishing seasons of the year. I just can’t get enough of chasing both largemouth and smallmouth bass.
The Napanee River is where some of my earliest fishing experiences took place many years ago. I was born and raised in the area and still visit frequently to enjoy the multi-species fishing opportunities on the Napanee River.
