Museum Kids: Heart Shaped Acrylic Pouring with Rhonda Evans

February 04, 2023
Cost: FREE
Type of Event: For Families

10:30am – 11:30am

In the first Museum Kids of 2023, children aged 4-11 can join us for this acrylic pouring workshop. We will get to play with liquid glass to create a fun Valentine’s Day themed piece. Liquid Glass has a mind of its own. It’s a beautiful pouring medium that does what it wants to do with a little help from you, which can be quite freeing as there is no skill needed to begin this journey. Liquid Glass is the name of this acrylic Pouring Medium, made by TriArt here in Kingston. It’s not actually glass, but it does dry so clear and shiny it looks like glass!

Please bring a flat piece of cardboard to take your piece home in.

– FREE
– For ages 4 – 11 (there is a teen version of this activity for ages 12+ in the afternoon)
– Pre-registration is required. Registration closes Thursday, February 2nd at 11:59pm. Visit our website to register online, or call the Museum

About the Artist
Rhonda Evans is an artist, a designer, a teacher, and entrepreneur.

She is influenced by her home province of Newfoundland, it’s warm rugged spirit, as well as her family farm in Kingston, ON. Environment plays a large role in her subject matter which is evident in her floral imagery, babbling brook and rocky shores of home. Some say, “focus on one thing, stick to it, develop your style”. The ability to work in various mediums, paint, ink, wool, glass or wool make Rhonda thrive. Chaos you may say – Maybe! But this is ‘making’ – and anything is possible!
