March Break @ the Museum: Lion Dance with Tallack Martial Arts

March 18, 2023
Cost: FREE
Type of Event: For Families

The Tallack Lion Dance team studies traditional Fat Shan dancing, and will be performing a demonstration at the Museum of Lennox and Addington! This style came to us from the village of Toi San, China. The Tallack team combines kung fu, music, puppetry, and the performing arts to tell a story with every dance. The current team is lead by Jennifer Ecclestone. They would also like to thank Sifu Robin Young for his continued guidance and mentorship. The lion dance brings good fortune and prosperity for events such as store openings, weddings, and the Chinese New Year. Now, they bring good fortune to this museum.
